Food Pantry Group Project
Our Group Project is collecting non-perishable food items and money for the local food pantries. Each member is requested to bring food items or a monetary donation to each of the local meetings. At the meeting each member present places their name into a basket and at the end of the meeting one name is drawn. The person whose name is drawn gets to decide to which of the local food pantries the items from the meeting will be donated. Since our group encompasses two counties the area covers several food pantries. Our area is very rural with four separate school corporations represented so the donations are not just given to one pantry. The person selected not only gets to select the pantry to receive the food but is also responsible for taking the food and monetary donations from the meeting to the chosen food pantry. This is one of two ongoing projects for our group.
